Give kids the chance to make music.

Music is much more than a few beats and a melody. It's a pathway into understanding and expressing your emotions, a gateway to collaboration and community, and an opportunity to be apart of something larger than yourself.

Unfortunately, music classes across the country are disappearing rapidly, especially in underserved communities. Because of this, kids are left with few ways to creatively express themselves.

Good News: For $8 per month, you can empower a young person to create music all year.

Our projects are community-focused and organized with localized studio teams. Different regions have their own dedicated Community Funds to ensure local activation.

If there isn't a Community Fund established for your area, you can rest assured that your donation will nurture the branch that needs it most.

The Community Fund

Join your local community in bringing music education to underserved youth.

When you give to The Boredomfighters Community Fund, we can guarantee that your donation goes directly towards bringing modern music education to youth who are disadvantaged. Putting the power in the hands of the people when schools are under-resourced.

Local Activation Breakdown

We educate youth through two main activations:
Community Workshops & Personal Mentorships.

Community Workshops

We bring the activation to the classroom - teaming up with schools, community centers, and learning establishments to activate up to 250 students per session.

Personal Mentorships

When students show an elevated amount of interest, we offer them free personal mentorships to help them further develop their skills and activate into the local community.

Asset 1.png

Through our Industry Fund, local branches acquire studio gear and bring workshops & studio assemblies to schools.

In those assemblies, we meet students who want to pursue further learning, then connect them with a mentor for the school year.

Asset 8.png
Asset 4.png

100% of the amount raised by the Community Fund is used for those mentorships.

Every time someone joins the Community Fund, they sponsor another student who wants to pursue a life in music.

The Industry Fund

Music venues, touring musicians, local businesses and private donors are rallied to become our Industry Champions, supporting the cause by donating $1 per ticket sale to help fund a Boredomfighters chapter in your area. This is the first step to bringing workshops to your community.

This generous donation covers operational costs for equipment and ongoing free workshops in local schools and community centers who serve youth that are historically disadvantaged.

Local Impact Projects

After the stage is set & The Community Fund is helping build young creators, that local team works with our nationwide ecosystem of touring artists, educators, and coordinators.

We then can all collaborate with the school districts to inspire, educate, and activate local youth in their local music industry.

The Community Fund

Once an Industry Fund is established in an area and  raises enough for the branch to start running studio sessions, we can start to meet kids who need support.

We provide those kids with mentorships using funds raised by fans who donate $8/month or more.

Do you want initiate change & bring modern music education to underserved youth in your community?

STEP ONE:

Find Local Champions

The first step to starting a local Boredomfighters Branch is to find Industry Champions to pledge a donation to your local Industry Fund. This fund covers all of your local operating expenses, giving us the resources to start finding the kids who need help and activating at a school.

Industry Fund Champions are composed of Local Venues, Festivals, Artists, Brands & Private Donors.

STEP TWO:

Raise $10k+ For Your Industry Fund

Once we reach our goal to start the branch,  we put studio gear in the classrooms & properly train local educators. This initial raise sets your team up to provide 1 workshop per month for a year.

Click here to see the full budget breakdown and growth scale for $10k, $50k, & $100k goals.

STEP THREE:

Activate Your Community Fund

As you conduct workshops you will meet kids who want to learn more. With The Community Fund, we give folks a way to support that by pledging a small donation every month that is exclusively used for mentor hours, providing free 10 month learning tracks to kids in tough situations.

For every $8/mo member in the Community Fund, you generate 2 mentor hours for that school year.
Click here to see how the funding is used as it grows.

STEP FOUR:

Grow Your Branch & Community.

By now, you are smooth sailing. Both funds are up and running and your actively hosting workshops in your community. Soon you will have more schools calling asking for support. To ensure readiness, it's time to find more Industry Champions to stabilize your team.
